“Faith is a living, daring confidence in God’s grace, so sure and certain that a man could stake his life on it a thousand times.” —Martin Luther
Learning To Trust God
a poetic postcard of encouragement by C C Keaton
How do we learn to trust completely In an unseen God Who works discreetly Behind the scenes and often blurred Can His goodness be confirmed?
After all, trust must be earned By information we’ve learned Leaving no stone unturned To more accurately discern Truth from lies so we won’t get burned Or tempted towards a wrong way turned
Everything we need be concerned As over and over I’ve observed Along with countless others concurred Throughout all history’s winding curves The truth of God’s love is in His Word! It’s living pages gently urge Us to where Heaven and Earth converge!
Knowing Jesus is what we truly yearn! And the more we read scripture just reaffirms As God’s unfailing love, grace, mercy, and kindness emerge Upon us until our hearts are churned
So, let’s not blindly follow the herd This world’s logic is mostly absurd The truth is Jesus is both God and friend! And that’s one relationship upon which we can always depend!
Shalom! You are loved and that love never ends!
