Like leaves in Autumn turn aglow
The closer we get to Jesus
His great Light inside us will show
And grow
Transforming us into Heaven-bound material
Ripe and ready for love to flow
But how does this remodeling occur?
We’re transformed by reading scripture
Only through prayer and the power of God’s Word
As we daily seek His face
With Holy Spirit grace
Allowing His Word to read us causing a full about-face
Until the fruits of His Kingdom inside us emerge
For you see, every single human being
Is an image bearer of The King
So, let’s not just continue to do our own thing
But rather, bend our wills to His Righteousness bring
Upon all the Earth
Until all experience new birth
And death no more has sting
