Great Gratefulness

The enormous weight of gratitude

In all its magnificent magnitude 

Powerfully alludes a verisimilitude 

Much more than an attitude 

And not some lame platitude 

Like the rainbow at storms end assumes

Goodness follows waves of high altitude 

Gratefulness, a beatitude 

When we’re thankful infinitude 

God gives us a little latitude 

He turns our human lassitude 

Into a Heaven inspired aptitude

That keeps us above the herd’s multitudes

And instills in us a certitude 

That God’s promise always includes

The perfecting love of His pursued 

Lifting us out of lonely solitude

Grafting us into His quietude

A New Kingdom gently ruled 

By the laws of Love’s amplitude 

And ushered in through 

Humble displays of gratitude 🙏
