Whose charms have won us over? Will we fall for the absurd Blindly follow the herd Who or what steers our rudder? Will its influence lift up others Or feed into greed, vanity, the gutter?
What we follow in this digital age Gives birth to algorithms that persuade And cause us to disengage With real life in exchange For a false reality, and thus trade Our bodies, minds and souls for cold, unnatural bio waves
But God offers an alternative, a divine counter offer To the modern day Pied Pipers horrors When we follow Jesus He gives us Living Water That satisfies every need we have and more
He gives us rights to be sons and daughters The Author of all restores and transforms His faithful followers, reborn Into the new creation we all long for
