Dawn’s Promised Rays

With the dawn of each new day Promised wonders come our way
Precious gifts freely given away
By a God, with glory on full display
Through the sun’s rising rays
Offering us all a fresh, clean slate!
The first promise is mercy
A crisp, fragrant bouquet
Because we can’t start new with old baggage decay
“Great is his faithfulness; his mercies begin afresh each morning.”

The next promise is for provision
God cares for our needs, it’s His fatherly position
His generous compassion on gracious exhibition!
“And this same God who takes care of me will supply all your needs from his glorious riches, which have been given to us in Christ Jesus.”

The promise of comfort each new dawn brings
A deep solace passing all understanding
Holding us tight
Giving us songs even into the night
New songs of delight to sing!

Every new dawn
God gives even more promised rewards:
Goodness, hope, peace in store
Wisdom and guidance, paths redrawn!
