The Mystery of God’s Mighty Power

“I realized that the deepest spiritual lessons are not learned by His letting us have our way in the end, but by His making us wait, bearing with us in love and patience until we are able to honestly pray what He taught His disciples to pray: Thy will be done.”

The Mystery of God’s Mighty Power

a reading from the depths of Job by C C Keaton

““God is mighty, but he does not despise anyone!
He is mighty in both power and understanding.
But by means of their suffering,
he rescues those who suffer.
For he gets their attention through adversity.

But watch out, or you may be seduced by wealth.
Don’t let yourself be bribed into sin.
Could all your wealth or all your mighty efforts
keep you from distress?
Do not long for the cover of night,
for that is when people will be destroyed.
Be on guard!
Turn back from evil, for God sent this suffering
to keep you from a life of evil.”
‭‭-Job‬ ‭36‬:‭5‬, ‭15‬, ‭18‬-‭21‬ ‭NLT‬‬

“Yet what we suffer now is nothing compared to the glory he wil reveal to us later.” -Romans 8:18, NLT

And this is God’s mysterious Word!

“I realized that the deepest spiritual lessons are not learned by His letting us have our way in the end, but by His making us wait, bearing with us in love and patience until we are able to honestly to pray what He taught His disciples to pray: Thy will be done.”

“Suffering is never for nothing.” – Elizabeth Elliot
