The Journey Is Today

It’s a fine line we walk each day
Between all we feel, think, do, and say
Since man began it’s been this way
We have to learn to navigate the sway
What we choose to put in play
Affects the outcomes vast array
Of endless possibility
Will we stray, delay, disobey, betray
Or worse, lead others astray
Let’s resist this herd-mentality
Reject this senseless naivety
And stop looking the other way
Let’s get on our knees and pray
Reach out and love friend and enemy the same
Trade arrogant pride for humility
Receive the love of Jesus, join the Heavenly soirée
Let His Holy Spirit wash away
Any evil in our earthly display
Then thank God that He loves us too much to just leave us this way
The journey IS today
