Its a simple, yet profound saying
On my friend’s wall, just hanging
It haunted me, on my heart weighing
In my thoughts, over, and over playing
Until finally conveying
A mysterious, beautiful truth amazing!
Perhaps the most condensed version of Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount
These words hold enormous amounts
Of blessings, too high to count
If only we would just live them out
Through faith in God and not doubt
Trusting with surrendered hearts devout
Then wait and watch for seeds to sprout
All around you and throughout
And so, forever repeat and recount

And by these rules be thy blessed
You may think this a bit reductionistic but if you really let it sink in and then actually apply it in your life, believe me, you will see a difference in yourself and others around you!

“One day as he saw the crowds gathering, Jesus went up on the mountainside and sat down. But what good is salt if it has lost its flavor? Can you make it salty again? It will be thrown out and trampled underfoot as worthless. “You are the light of the world—like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden. No one lights a lamp and then puts it under a basket. Instead, a lamp is placed on a stand, where it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father.”
