If just two pronouns and a verb
Were all we ever heard
That may sound absurd
You might think me disturbed
Or perhaps, “She’s got some nerve”
To pose such preposterous blurb
But if you permit me to assert
And not kick me to the curb
Putting aside your concerns
To demonstrate what I’ve learned
To be the three most powerful words
Just two pronouns and a verb
In them live no hurt
They are supremely superb
And eternally on reverb
The saying, “I love you” deserves
To stand alone and confirms
That just two pronouns and a verb
When heard, concurred and transferred
Giving and receiving love undeterred
Satisfies completely when affirmed!
And this court is now adjourned!
